Operating Principle
Ultrasonic welding uses a high-frequency electrical signal generated by an oscillation circuit, which is then converted into mechanical vibration energy. This energy—at a frequency beyond the threshold of human hearing—is transmitted through the horn (welding head) to the materials being welded. The high-speed friction at the joint interface causes the materials to soften and fuse under pressure. When the vibration stops, pressure is briefly maintained, allowing the materials to solidify and bond on a molecular level. Typical welding times are less than one second, and the resulting weld strength can match that of the original material. Mold size and shape are customized based on the product.
